About 3M
3M is a Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer that produces both clear paint protection film and automotive window film through its Commercial Solutions Division. The brand has been in the PPF segment longer than nearly anyone — 3M was the original supplier to the US military for helicopter rotor-blade leading-edge protection in the 1960s, the technology that eventually evolved into modern automotive PPF.
3M's flagship clear PPF is the Scotchgard Pro Series, a self-healing TPU film backed by 3M's 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling and bubbling. 3M also manufactures the Crystalline window film line, considered one of the highest-IR-rejection nano-ceramic window films on the market.
3M sells PPF and window film through a national network of certified dealers. Unlike XPEL or Ceramic Pro, 3M does not run a public-facing dealer locator — installers are typically found through 3M's authorized distributors or via the FindCeramicCoating directory.

What's covered
3M Scotchgard Pro Series PPF is covered for 10 years against yellowing, cracking, peeling, bubbling and delamination. Coverage includes both the film and the labor to remove and replace it.
Common voiding conditions

- •Removal and re-installation by a non-Authorized Dealer

Entry-level clear PPF for partial coverage jobs. Shorter warranty than the Pro Series.
Crystalline Window Film
Premium nano-ceramic window film. One of the highest IR (heat) rejection ratings in the automotive segment without metallic interference.
Color Stable Window Film
Dyed automotive window tint that resists fading and color shift. A more affordable alternative to Crystalline.

3M runs the following certified-installer tiers. Higher tiers typically carry stronger warranty backing and exclusive product access.
Authorized Dealer
3M operates a single-tier authorized installer program. All dealers carry the Scotchgard Pro Series under the standard 3M warranty.
